Brooks History
Since its beginning in 1951, Brooks Construction Ltd. has built banks, factories, churches and homes. But land development has been Norman Brooks’ life-long passion.
Norman Brooks is the primary founder of Kilworth Village, west of London. The dream became reality in 1964 and now, with the 7th development phase completed, the community is home to more than 500 families in one of the most desirable areas in the region.
In 1973, the Brooks family purchased the Myles farm just south of Stokes Bay in the Bruce Peninsula, and a summer home on Old Woman’s River, which ran through the farm. Norburn Road, with lots to the river on the south side, was developed and sold quickly.
The Brooks family still has a passion for development. 2010 is ushering in a brand new community along the north side of Norburn Road. These rare parcels espouse our philosophy and commitment to the environment.
Norburn Nest is being developed by the next generation of the Brooks family. The 50 wooded acres abutting on the north side of these lots is designated as “Environmentally Sensitive” and cannot be built upon.
