Brooks History

Since beginning in 1951, Brooks Construction Ltd. has built banks, factories, churches and homes. But land development has been Norman Brooks’ life-long passion.

Brooks FamilyNorman Brooks is the primary founder of Kilworth Village, west of London. Begun in 1964, and recently completed the 7th development phase, this community now encompasses over 500 families in one of the most desirable areas in the region.

In 1973, the Brooks family purchased the Myles farm in the “Bruce” and had their summer home on “Old Woman’s River”, which ran through the farm. Norburn Road, with lots to the river was opened at that time and sold quickly.

Now an “Environmentally Unique” development called “Norburn Nest“ is being created on the north side by “the next generation” under the name Brooks Development Corporation. The 50 wooded acres abutting these lots is designated as “Environmentally Sensitive” and cannot be built on.
